Diekson. for some time past salesman for the Alkire-Smith Auto company, has been appointed sales manager in tho an in a co in pa n y , accord -ing to an announcement made yesterday bv R. J. Froiseth, general ma nager. Mr. Dickson's work in his new capacity is to commence im media l ply. Mr. Dickson is well qualified to assume as-sume his new dutjes. For years he hiis been employed as a salesman in this city. His work with the Alkire-Stnith Auto company has given him a thorough acquaint a nee with the. automobile business, busi-ness, and more particularly with the Ford automobile. The Alkire-Smith organization now includes in-cludes more than forty people,, counting salesmen, office foree and repairmen. It is the oldest Ford agency in th state of Utah and the largest agency in tho in-tormountdiu in-tormountdiu territory operating under the local Ford branch. The company was first organized in 1D12, when the Ford industry was etlll in its infancy. Of the original organizers, organ-izers, Fred Aikire is the surviving member. mem-ber. From a ver" small beginning the business of the company has grown by leans ahd bounds. This year practically lOOu cars have been sold in this territory. terri-tory. In addition to this, a profitable business in accessories, parts, commercial bodies, and a complete repair service has been conducted. The present officers of the company include the following: Fred W. Aikire, president: R. J. Froiseth. vice president and general manager, and Charles A. Cecil, secretary. Mr. Froiseth reports that the prospects pros-pects for tho coming year are even bet--ter than for the present year. |
