Show EXAMINERS EOARD . MAY ALLOT FUND "What remains of the $25,000 fund appropriated ap-propriated by the legislature of 1917 for the benefit of Utah veterans of Indian wars or their widows may be distributed on a somewhat different plan from that which has been followed in the past. The state board of examiners finds wxt there is still a small amount in the fund, less than $4000, which may be distributed entirely at the board's d.scretion. On the other hand, the legislature of 1919 appropriated ap-propriated 20,000 to be distributed under un-der an inflexible law, which requires that veterans or their widows who have not obtained a federal pension, or are not likely to obtain one, ehall share equally in the fund. Some cases have been called to the attention of the board said to be especially espe-cially deserving, and the remainder of the fund from 1917 may be divided into larger allotments, particularly in view of the fact that for other claimants there it no doubt that they will share in the 1919 fund.
