On thu strength of the good showing reported re-ported to have been opened up in the mine, Stiver Shield on the first call went to 90c. . From this level, the price dropped to SSo until at tho end' of the first call, tho price was around Tic. Ou the next call the stock firmed up several points only to subside with a total of over 20,000 shares sold to a closing price of 7172c, a net advance of nine points. The recessions reces-sions of the Tintic securities, due to lack of interest, the result of the Silver Shield excitement, were not large enough to cause any great comment. East Crown Point, with I9,5u0 shares, closed at 5c; Eureka Lily, v. itli a close of 2S'e was off a point and a half; Eureka Bullion with a close of JdL.c, three points off; May Day-sagged Day-sagged to six cents and Zuma, with 3500 sates, receded from an opening of 30c to a close of 2T'4e. Iron King, with nearly 2000 shares traded in. held firm at 394c. the same price as Tuesday s close. North Standard on the strength of favorable reports from the mine, was favored among tho Tintic securities with increased activity, 11 000 shares, and an increase in price" from a dose ol 100 for Tuesday, to a close of Emma Silver, -with 4700 sales, dropped otf. a quarter of a point in valuation to a closing price of 9c. East Tintic Consolidated Con-solidated sold at 15c. Plutus dropped back from an opening of 5c to a closing price ot oOc and Tmtic Standard sold at $i.4.
