Show BELIEVES CORDELL ON WAY TO TEXAS Following the receiving of a telephone message on Saturday night from Thistle, Utah, reporting that her father, Richard C. Cordell, employee of the National Bank of the Republic, who has been missing miss-ing since July 12, had been seen there on July 15 buying a railroad ticket for the east, Mrs. Victor Mills, who is in Salt Lake from California aiding in the .search, said last night that if it really was her father who had been seen in Thistle, she thought he was on his way to the oil fields in Texas. Mrs. Mills said her father had invested in oil and mining stocks and that he had often referred to the oil land development develop-ment in Texas. That he was enthusiastic enthusias-tic over its possibilities and greatly interested in-terested was known to her, Mrs. Mills said. The Salt Lake police department is investigating all reports and rumors received concerning the whereabouts of Mr. Cordell and detectives are inquiring from other sources whether it is certain Mr. Cordell was in Thistle on July 15. Detectives are endeavoring to ascertain from the train crew that operates between be-tween Thistle and Salt Lake whether they remember seeing Mr. Cordell. |
