Show SALT LAKE STEEL WINS TWO BATTLES The Salt Lake Iron nhd Steel baseball club took the lead in the Commercial league yesterday yester-day morning by winning a double-header from the Western Optica Is. The first game ended 5 to 3, in favor of the steel men, and the second went to the leaders by a 7-to-l score. , Dutch Groeschner pitched both games for the I steel team and had things well in hand at all times. Tiny Leonard was on the mound for the Optical team and pitched good ball, but poor support robbed him of a chance for a victory. vic-tory. The other teams of the Commercial lengue did not play their games yesterday, but it Is likely that they will resume play after the managers' meeting, which will be held tonight. As the league now stands, the steel team is leading the Pantages and Rubber Products j teams by a half a game. All three teams 1 hive lost two games in the league race so far this season, nod there are a number o postponed games to be played. The meeting tonight will be held at the Spalding store at 8 o'clock and only the managers man-agers of the teams will be present.
