Show DICKMAN ORDERED TO COMMAND OF UNITS ON BORDER NEW YORK, July 20. Major General Joseph Dick man, upon landing from the Cunarder Aqultania today, received orders from the war department to assume immediate im-mediate command of the department of the south, which embraces all military units on the Mexican border, with headquarters head-quarters at San Antonio, Tex. Major General Dickman's orders apparently appar-ently were urgent, for he left immediately for Washington. Thence it is expected he will speed with all possible haste to his new command.
