PC. .Inniors i " "1-00 bVeshies L I Sophomores I ' Seniors - -00u In l wo good games in the West High J class hoop series yesterday, the sophomores sopho-mores triumphed over the seniors, and while the undefeated junior sauud won oue from the first-year hoys, both games were nip and tuck from beginning to end, and resulted in a three-point victory in each case, the juniors beating the frcshies by a i'.'i to T2 s-'oro. and the sophomores beat the near-graduates by an IS to 15 sjoro. The first half of the soph-senior game ended in n D to 9 tie. Some lively playing play-ing was brought out in the last half. The seniors were ahead until tho last few minutes of play, when the sophs came r'rom behind and scored several field goals. The work of Sellers and .Sullivan at brisket snooting, and Roberts's passing, were, the features on the soph side, while Oriiiirs and Ilossiter played well tor the seniors. The jreshie-junior contest was of tie A ciass. At the end of the first half the juniors held an eight-point lead. The second half brought' out sume scrappy idaying on the part of both teams. The entire junior s.piMd played a consistent game. The hasket-shooiing of Tom Mackay. and the consistent playing of Vern j'unU, featured for the three-year men. while Kenneth Topping and Ualph .lesson buth starred for the freshies.
