Show PROVO LEGION POST WILL AID OFFICERS Spi'cinl to The Tribune. PROVO. Dec. 2. At last evening's meeting meet-ing of Provo post Xo. in, American legion, a committee on radicals was appointed. This committee will report suspicious characters to tfie proper officials, and it was directed to advise peace officers that the post is ready at p ny time to assist, if needed, in maintaining law and order in the community. The meeting was held in the Commercial Commer-cial club rooms and was well attended. The chairman. Captain H. R. Fletcher, presided, and gave an interesting account of his trip to Minneapolis, where he attended at-tended a convention of the American le- i gion as a representative from Utah. Captain J. B. Tucker gave an address on the growth of the Provo battery. The entertainment committee was authorized to arrange for a dance, to be given at the Mozart pavilion December IS. ' Captain M. H. Graham was tendered a vote of thanks for assistance given to i tiie pot. A iarge number of new members were received. The men of Irovo and vicinity are joining the post rapidly. The next meeting will be held the first Tuesday in January. Meeting nights were changed to the first Tuesday instead of the first Monday of each month. |
