Show E11SI HIGH GIRLS TO GIVE GRID BMQUET Champion Leopards Will Enjoy "Feed" and Dance Friday Evening. , The East High School Girls Athletic associat ion will give a banquet fnr the Leopard state champion football warriors; next Friday evening at the East H-igh ' school. J An eight-course turkey dinner is promised prom-ised by the girl athletes,1 and with a big j dance following the affair, a jolly time is assured the forty-two football players of the school. The football banquet Is given annually by the rirls of the East High A. G. and is always looked forward to as a big affair. Last year the schools were closed at the start of the football season and as only one game had been played, the banquet was not given. The officers and directors of the H. S. A. G. who are managing the affair are, i Miss Neva Clegg, president; Miss Margaret Mar-garet Lenn, vice-president; Miss Helen Armstrong, secretary; Miss Irene Goody, treasurer; Miss Hope Parker, Miss Lois j Bacon, Miss Blanch Clegg, Miss Margaret Gaby, Miss Ireta Rasmusson and Miss H el en )swald, vice presidents of the freshmen class. Coach Ott Romney will be toastmuster. The patrons are George A. Eaton, Fred L. Keeler, Dr. E. A. Smith, I . A. Callahan, Calla-han, H. A. Smith, Dr. Arthur J. Murphy and C. Oren Wilson. The East High school athletic dance will take place at the Odeon dance hall on Friday, December 12. The athletic dance is given each year to raise a fund for those athletes who are injured during dur-ing the year in any branch of athletics. The fund is a great help in many cases. The dance is always well attended by the students of both the East High and West High and also by many others. |
