Winter's icy I blasts, 'hurled along on a stiff wind, had no terrors for four shotgun artists who put in an appearance at the Star Pointer Gun club shoot, nor did it materially affect af-fect their shooting, as will be seen by the scores. A prettv race for high honors was staged between P.. L. Quayle, one of the most consistent shots in the country, and C B . N a n c e , a new met n b e r, w ho has been shooting just a year. In the first twenty-five-target event Ouayle broke twenty-four ami Nance twenty-two. In the second t weiit y-five they each broke twenty-three. In the third event thev again" tied on twenty-four, and, to make it good, tied again in tlie fourth lot with another twenty-four. This put Qu.iyle on top with ninety-five breaks.
