May 31. reached salt Lake Sunday afternoon, accompanied by his widow and son. Thayer Hills. Funeral services will he held at -the . residence of his mother, Mrs. L. S. Hills, 4-5 East First South street, at 4 o clock this afternoon. Burial will be in City cemetery. Mr. Hills was born January 25. lSii, in Salt Lake, and received his education educa-tion in the public schools. He was a graduate of the University of Utah. While at the university he took military training and was captain of cadets, tor eleven vears he was employed in ttie-United ttie-United 'States surveyor general s omce, actic- in the capacitv of draftsman under un-der Surveyor Generals Snow, Blair and HMr" Hills married Luta Van Schoon-hoven Schoon-hoven in 1SP7. He was the son of tne late L S. Hills, for many years president presi-dent of the Deseret National bank, and Mrs. Theresa B. Hills. He leaves be-- be-- sides his mother, three brothers.
