Most intensive campaigning cam-paigning lias been launched in Ogden City and Weber county for the tale of the war savings and thrift stamps. The two slogans, 'uy a J5-cent Thrift "Stamp Every Day" and "Hand the Postman a Quarter for a Stamp." are going to be popular in Ogden, the committee has announced an-nounced in its drive to tell the full allotment allot-ment made by the state committed to Ocden. "The committee is making appeals to i neople of the city and county -from Jrv walk in life. They are asking that -Or" Oie people here buy the stamps that have yJT been allotted and not have it said that other counties were compelled to take up part of Weber eountv's allotment. War savings stamp committees and societies have been organized in many of the" large corporations of the city, with 100 per cent memberships. The objact of the societies is to encourage the purchase pur-chase of a certain amount of thrift I stamps within a certain time and keep ! up the record. : No report of- the amount of the sales 1 has been made by the subcommittees up to the present. The sales from day to day may nt he obtainable from the salesmen and saleswomen, but. it is expected ex-pected the committee will receive reports that will enable it to have some check upon the amount of sales. There will be no large sales $1000 being be-ing the greatest amount of war savings stamps any one person can have in his possession. It is expected that several of the thousand-dollar orders will be recorded before June 2S, the last day of the sale. It will take $S4S.tiS0 to put Ogden City and Weber county over the top in the stamp sale. |
