Show FAT MERGER WILL HELP HOUSEWIVES Miss Gertrude "McCheyne and Mrs. Ada Smurthwaite Are L to Conduct Demonstrations. . In the interests of food conservation as promoted by Herbert C. Hoover of the national food administration, demonstrations demonstra-tions of a new device known as the "fat merger" will be given at the state fair' under the direction of Miss Gertrude Mc-Cheyne Mc-Cheyne of the Utah Agricultural college. Mrs. Ada Smurthwaite will have direct charge of the demonstration and will , have- under her supervision nine demon- ! strators of the college. The fat merger device is said to afford a rapid, simple and practical means by which the housewife can economize in the. domestic consumption of butter and can be assisted in the utilization of otherwise other-wise waste fata for cooking purposes. The device is said to render fats palatable, pleasing in appearance and wholesome. Demonstrations of the machine have been made in the presence of Miss Mc-Cheyne, Mc-Cheyne, chairman of the home economics division for Utah, and Mrs. W. N. Williams, Wil-liams, chairman of the Utah women's I committee of the national and state ! councils of defense, and has been re-i re-i ported favorably. . |
