West-lake, West-lake, one of the best-known newspapermen newspaper-men in Chicago, famous In the west as an athlete, dropped dead In his home tonight, to-night, where he was giving a farewell party for his son on the latter's leaving I lo join the army. He had just said to his son: "t am proud of you now and know that whatever happens I will be prouder of you when this war is over," when he fell dead. For years Mr. Westlake had been automobile au-tomobile editor of the Chicago Evening Post, editorial and column writer. He was in his early forties, and apparentljr in robust health. |
