Show STAMPS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS PACKAGES Expenses of Mailing Gifts to Former High School Students Will Be Sought. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Nov. 20. At a special patriotic patri-otic assembly of all students of the Ogden Og-den senior high sc-hool tomorrow, volunteers volun-teers will be sought to pay the expense of mailing Christmas packages to graduates grad-uates and former students of the school who are now in the military service. More than 100 former Ogden high school men are in the national service, and a package has been prepared for each man. The work of preparing the remembrances remem-brances was also a volunteer service on the part of the students, under the capable ca-pable direction of Miss Carrie V. Knapp, art supervisor. The packages contain a wide variety of articles which are intended in-tended to bring the Christmas spirit home to the boys in khaki. The programme for the special assembly will include a short talk by the Rev. John Edward Carver, Car-ver, president of the Red Cross chapter, and patriotic music under direction of Mark Robinson, music supervisor. |
