PLAN TO RESUME SPEAKING CONTESTS Public speaking- contests are to he resumed re-sumed this year, according to Davis Edwards, Ed-wards, director of the Secondary School Public Speaking league of the state. Last year, on account of the lai-jre number of boys who left high school to work on the farm, they were a ha ndoned. But this year the contests in debating, public speaking, and declamation will be held before farm work begins. Letters to Hi is effect have been sent out to the Utah high schools by Mr. Edwards, Ed-wards, who asks that each high school send to him a. list of questions that will he suitable for debate.
