Show FOUR HELD ON SERIOUS CHARGES Three Men and a Woman Arrested Following Complaint by Two Young Girls. P. S. Tlaynea, 21 years old; Lewis Kel-peris, Kel-peris, 31; John Martin, 24, and Anna Smith, 31, are held in the city jail, charged with statutory offenses and with contributing to juvenile delinquency, and, according to the police, they may be called upon to answer to charges of white slavery. Ilaynes and the Smith woman were arrested at the Shelton hotel, 129 South West Temple street, last Friday night, by Plainelothesmen Bert Seager and C. A. "Williams, and the same officers arrested ar-rested Kel peris at the same place on Sunday evening. It was not until last night, however, that they located Martin Mar-tin in "Greektown." ' Two girls, hoth under 16 years of age, one of them belonging to a prominent family In Tooele, the other from Salt Lake, are the alleged victims. It is probable that the prisoners will be held until the Tooele county authorities authori-ties are heard from. Thr-y may be turned over to the federal authorities, as the police think that on one occasion the girls were taken to another state. |
