Show JEALOUSY LEADS TO DOUBLE SHOQTI NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 16. "While several hundred persons were gathering in the lobbies and corridors of the Grunewald hotel tonight three pistol shots caused a panic. Policemen found a woman stretched out on the floor of the room with bullet bul-let wounds in her head and arm. A man lay beside her with a bullet in his head. A clerk identified the man as J. Hardgrove of Houston, Texas. The woman wo-man was Miss Mary Harmon, an employee em-ployee of a local department store. From statements or persons who saw the couple before the shooting it appears ap-pears that the man waited for the woman wo-man in the rest room of the hotel. After Af-ter a while he grew restless and paced the floor nervously. Finally Miss Harmon appeared with another .'man. Hardgrove grew violent, according to witnesses, and accused the woman of deceiving him. In a fit of rage Hardgrove drew a revolver and fired two shots. One bullet struck the woman in the arm and the other in the head. "When he saw Miss Harmon fall Hardgrove shot himself. Both are expected ex-pected to die. |
