Show LAWYERS ASSUME GRAND JURY WILL CONTINUE WORK V NEW YORK, Feb. 16. Balnbridge Colby and Mark Hynan, special prosecutors prose-cutors in charge of" the federal grand jury investigation to determine whether the high cost of print paper is due to criminal violation of the Sherman antitrust anti-trust law, tonight assumed that the investigation in-vestigation would continue. -They said they liad no official information as to the" Washington developments and had received no instructions to withdraw the inquiry. The jury has been asked to report again on Monday. Two officers of the News Print Manufacturers' Manu-facturers' association were before the jury today. They were Robert M. Houk, assistant secretary, and L. R. Lock-head, Lock-head, general manager and cashier. Shortly after the latter 's appearance the grand jury abruptly adjourned. It was explained that the sudden halt in the proceedings had no special sig nificance, being due to the raising of a point of law regarding the testimony. Judge Sessions, who swore the jurors in, will be asked to give them special instructions on the point involved, prior to the resumption of sittings next week. The government prosecutors have announced an-nounced their intention to call every officer of-ficer of the News Print Manufacturers' association, an organization of sixty-eight sixty-eight companies or individuals. |
