Show DRUGLESS HEALERS ARE GIVEN HEARING Many Appear Before the Committee to Urge a Favorable Report on the Measure. A special hearing on H. B. No. 50, by Greenwood, providing a separate board of examiners for drugless healers, was held by the health committee of the house last night at the Hotel Utah, and the drugless healers were given opportunity oppor-tunity to present their case. Joseph Y. Weaver was spokesman for the healers and urged favorable action on the bill. Justice F. B. Scott also argued in favor of the measure,- as did Attorney C. E. Marks. Only the proponents of the measure were heard last night, as the opposition had been heard previously. The committee has reported the bill unfavorably once before, but the measure mea-sure was re-reported to give the proponents pro-ponents further hearing. What action the committee will take on the bill now was not announced last night, but it is understood the bill will simply be reported out upon the calendar calen-dar and left to the house to determine its fate. |
