Show ELKS THROW DOWN BARS FOR 'KIDDIES' Blanket Invitation Extended Extend-ed to Them for the Big Minstrel Show, Parents and guardians who miss their charges this evening are advised to seek them at the Salt Lake- theater; at least as many of them as can be crowded, crowd-ed, jammed and wedged into the first balcony, and second and third galleries of the theater. The occasion is the repeat perform-, perform-, ancc of the Elks' big minstrel show, which will be given this evening. Only the lower house will be sold, the Elks having decided to give the ''kids' of the city admission to all the " upper re-gioirs"' re-gioirs"' of the house without charge or responsibility. Estimates have been made from time to time as to the capacity of the theater, thea-ter, but it is extremely likely that all these figures will be revised after tonight. to-night. 'All "kids' regardless of whose "kids" they are, will be admitted until all the "upper portions of the house have been filled. Somewhat of a spectacle is anticipated. antici-pated. Under all the circumstances, it is predicted that the largest gathering of "kids" ever assembled in a theater of Salt Lake will be present as guests of the Elks. The Elks' committee has arranged for adequate guards inside the building, not so much to protect the "kids" as to protect the performers: although it is hoped that the "kids, in recognition of the generous hospitality hospi-tality extended to them will exercise that charity which will be commended to them later after they have grown up and joined the Elks. The term "kids," as used herein, is defined to mean a male child that rush tonight will be no place for a little girl. |
