Show COMMUNICATION i f Corinne Citizenship Standard. Editor Tribune As one of a number of Corinne citizens who have become interested inter-ested in the Ogden paving controversy, since Corinne has been Injected into It, I wish to offer a suggestion that may help to adjust the Ogden problem. If Ogden is unable to take care of its paving, pav-ing, the Ladies' Aid society of Corinne might be induced to assist, as It has In the past given help to our less fortunate and smaller cities, Mrs. Geiger, In a spirited criticism of Mayor Heywood, intimates rather broadly broad-ly that he should move to Corinne, inasmuch in-asmuch as he Is, she says, of too small caliber for Ogden. Corinne would delight de-light In the coming of Mr. Heywood, should it be voluntary, but we protest against the condition. Anyone not gifted with breadth of vision sufficient for residence resi-dence in Ogden won't do for Corinne. Our population has remained restricted many years because of the conditions we impose on persons who desire to locate in our town. . Quality, not numbers, is our motto. Let Judge Heywood, Mrs. Geiger and' other Ogdenites remain where they are until they demonstrate by actual achievement their right to the distinction conferred by Corinne citizenship. Then they'll be welcome and we will meet them with a band. CORINNE CITIZEN. |
