Show ANXIETY IS FELT OVER HYDROPHOBIA Four New Cases Discovered in the State Within a Few Days; Pasteur Treatment Administered. The hydrophobia situation as affecting affect-ing human beings is giving grave concern con-cern to state health officials. Four cases within the space of a few days axe now occup3'ing the attention of the of-j of-j ficials. The latest report comes from Garland, Gar-land, where the city marshal, in the Eerformance of his duties, was bitten y a dog which displayed every evidence evi-dence of madness. The officer fought his battle through, coming out with many skin abrasions and assured infection, in-fection, provided the aninyil is found upon bacteriological examination by Dr. L. L. Daines ot the University of Utah to have been afflicted with the disease. Ransom Herring last night brought in his child from Elsinore to take the Pasteur Pas-teur treatment. The child had been bitten by a pet cat, and investigation bv Professor Daines had demonstrated the presence of the rabies in the brain of the cat. The 6-vear-old child of J. H. A rancher from Vernon appeared yesterday yes-terday at the office of the state board of health. He had been in a general mixun with a coyote in a running fight, in which his dogs protected him. The dogs recently showed traces of the rabies, ra-bies, and have been killed.
