Show NICARAGUA ELECTS GENERAL CHAMERRO Nephew of Former President Zelaya Kills Four in Election Riot. MANAGUA. Nicaragua. Oct. 2. Tn a fight which broke out here yesterday during the election of G. Chamerro as president of the republic. Salvador Ze-Inya. Ze-Inya. a nephew of former President Zelaya. Ze-laya. attacked a group of Conservatives, shooting and killing four of them. During Dur-ing the fighting Zelaya himself was seriously seri-ously wounded, while a number of other persons also were hurt. The police quickly quick-ly intervened and quelled the disorder. The four men killed weie given public military funerals today, thousands of Conservatives Con-servatives quietly following the bodies to the grave. General Chamerro, who wns unopposed for the office, of chief executive, has been for years one of the ac;ive leaders of the Conservative party. For the last three years be has ben Nicaragua n minister to Washington.
