Show YOKEL IS DEFEATED BY WALTER MILLER Salt Lake .Man Picked Up Bodily and Thrown in Second Fall; Too Dazed to Continue to End, Special to The Tribune BILLINGS, Mont., Dec. 1. Walter Miller still retains tho middleweight championship at wrestling through his defeat here tonight of Mike Yokel of Salt Lake. The finish was dramatic to a degree. Yokel won the first fall in an hour and twelve minutes after a most gruelling gruel-ling contest, using a log scissors. The second fall went to Miller in eight minutes. min-utes. It was a hammer and tongs affair af-fair from the start and ended 'ten Miller picked Y'okel up bodily and threw him to the floor, his head striking the mat. Fearing that the referee might not award him the fall because Yokel's shoulders wore not on the mat, Miller again picked up his man and threw him on the mat, both shoulders and head touching. Yokel was so dazed he could not go to his dressing room, and spent his rest time on the mat. Miller allowed him an extra live minutes to recuperate. He staggered to the center of the ring, but Y'okel 's manager refused, to permit him to continue and the referee awarded the match to Miller. |
