Show ITALIANS HE I ; UP iraiB Bombs Do Some Damage ; Moderate Artillery Fire on French Front. ROME, Dec. 1, via London, 4:21 p. m. Heavy artillery fighting is In progress along the Austro-Italian front, the war office announces. Following is the statement: state-ment: On the whole front the activity of the artillery on both sides increased, particularly in the Adlge and Astico valleys, in the area east of Gorizla and on the Carso. Hostile aircraft raided several points along the front. They were driven off by anti-aircraft guna and aeroplanes. Enemy aeroplanes dropped bombs on Grigno, in the Sugana valley. val-ley. No damage was caused. One of our six squadrons dropped numerous bombs on the station at Volano, north of Rovereto, Inflicting damage and causing flies. Another squadron dropped bombs on the station sta-tion at Rlfemberga, In the Branlzza valley. Some trains which were stationary sta-tionary were hit. All our aeroplanes returned. PARIS', Dec. l. The war office communication com-munication issued this evening says: There was moderate fire by artillery artil-lery and trench engines today. Otherwise Other-wise there is no Important event to report. Belgian communication: There has been weak artillery fighting fight-ing on the Hel;rian front from Steen-straete Steen-straete to Het Sas. |
