Show MAKE OFFER FOR HOWELL'S LIBRARY Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Dec. 1. In an effort to retain re-tain Judge J. A. Howell's extensive law library at the county building after he retires from office on January 1, 1917, a committee representing the Ogden Og-den Bar association was authorized this afternoon to offer the retiring judge , $50 per month for the use of the library if he will keep it down to date. The committee, appointed at a meeting of members of the association, is composed of Judge-elect A. W. Agee, District Attorney-elect Stuart P. Dobbs, W. H. Beeder, Jr., and David L. Stine. The association members also made preliminary plans for a banquet in honor hon-or of the incoming judges, A. W. Agee and Arthur W. Pratt. The proposition propo-sition of tendering the banquet was received enthusiastically by the attorneys and a committee, composed com-posed of H. H. Henderson, David Jensen Jen-sen and Valentine Gideon, was appointed appoint-ed to work out the arrangements. The date will be decided upon at another meeting. |
