Bolger of this city and Norman Barker of Filer, both well-known young people in this vicinity, were wedded Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the resilience of the Rev. Father Hahn of the Catholic church, In the presence of . the parents and two sisters of the bride. Taupe georgette crepe and charmeuse composed the pretty and becoming dress of the bride, and her hat was of gold lace and blue velvet. She carried a huge arm bouquet of buff Ophelia roses. Immediately Im-mediately after the wedding the party went to the Hotel Rogerson. where they t : were served a delicious dinner at a table j - adorned with a large bouquet of the Ophelia roses. Mr. and Mrs. Barker left on the evening train for Boise, where Mr. Barker will attend the legislature as representative rep-resentative from Twin Falls county, after which they will make their home in Filer. t The bride is a graduate of the University - of Idaho and recently has taught school - in Filer, near which place the bridegroom has a ranch. Stowell of Thief River Falls, Minn., who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. Wilbur S. Hill, during the past few weeks, was the honored guest at a number of social gatherings. On Saturday afternoon Mrs. H. J. Wall entertained en-tertained Mrs. Stowell and twelve guests at a theater party at the Idaho, after which the host ess served a delicious luncheon at her home. Another of the pleasant affairs was the luncheon bridge given by Mrs. B. A. Hamilton on Monday Mon-day for' Mrs. Stowell. Miniature automobiles automo-biles marked each place and Hudson and Maxwell pennants were prominently displayed dis-played in the decorations. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ferguson, who were recently married in California, have arrived ar-rived in Twin Falls, after an extended motoring trip through California. More than thirty members of the Business Busi-ness Women's association were in attendance at-tendance this week at the regular Tuesday Tues-day evening luncheon. Plans were discussed dis-cussed for the Ida M. A British reunion will be held in the Blue Villa hall Wednesday, January 17. A programme will be given in the afternoon after-noon and the evening will be spent in dancing. One of the big events of the week was tho dancing party given Wednesday evening at La, Grand .hall by the Ma lad stake mutual improvement board. The hall was attractively at-tractively arranged and decorated and a unique feature was an evening of con--tinuous dancing. The music for the occasion oc-casion was furnished by the La Grand1 orchestra and the Samaria band. The? hall was filled to its capacity. Monday evening the home of Mr, and Mrs. D. P. Evans was the scene of a surprise party given in honor of the births day anniversary of Mr. Evans. Thirty-two Thirty-two guests were present. Supper waS served. Mrs. Jedd. Jones, Jr., was hostess Wednesday Wed-nesday at a dinner party in compliment to F. F. Leigh and Miss Elizabeth Leigh. The table was prettily arranged with flowers and greenery. Besides the guests of honor, covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peck, Mr. and Mrs. Jedd Jones, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Leigh, Mrs. John Fallis, Earl Leigh and Laurence Jones, r- The Kensington club met Thursday aft- . ernoon with Mrs. T. M. Thomas. It wag the annual business meeting. At the close of the business session a social half hour was enjoyed and refreshments were served. ' Mrs. Seth Thomas entertained the Cleo circle at her home Friday afternoon. After Aft-er a short business meeting the hours were spent in sewing. Refreshments were served. Saturday evening a farewell party was given at La Grand hall in honor of Norman Nor-man Crowther, who will leave next week for Tennessee, where he will spend two years in missionary work. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Pelton have returned re-turned to Malad from Idaho Falls and will make their home here. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Powell and daughter daugh-ter Ida have returned from a week's stay in Ogden and Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. A marriage this week around which much interest centered was that of Dr. Mazie Hunter and Paul Q. Haltermart. which took place Tuesday in Ogden at t.he Methodist parsonage. Mr. Halter-man Halter-man is a voting business man of thin citv. Mis. Hunter is well and favorably known here, having been associated with Or Richards in dentistry for the past two years.
