Show ANTELOPE POINT IS HIVE OF INDUSTRY Superintendent McLease of East Antelope Ante-lope Tells of Activities There. Albert McLease, superintendent of the East Antelope mine of Beaver county, who was in town yesterday, said that the region was one of great activity, there being no fewer than nine properties proper-ties now actively operating. These include in-clude the Antelope Star, the Keno, a Property recently acquired by Jesse inight and his associates, the Beaver Range mines and the South Antelope. Tho East Antelope, which joins the Keno on the south and east, is, said Superintendent Su-perintendent McLease, operating with a full forco, driving three drifts on the two north-south fissures in addition to sinking a double compartment shaft. The drifts -will bring the miners under un-der the high-grade ore that shows on the surface and will afford backs ol about 300 feet. Such good progress is being made that it is expected the ore will be reached in the west drift not later than February 1. The Keno, said Mr. McLease, has from eight to nine foot of ore on the surface and is pushing development work. The showing of ore in the Antelope Ante-lope Star is growing better with every shift and the prediction made by the management that this property will soon be in the list of regular shippers appears ap-pears to be based upon the existing facts. |
