Show HOOP LEAGUE ENLARGED BY THHEETEAfifiS. Board of Control Creates Two Sections in Salt Lake Division ; Northern Is Straightened Out. The board of control of the Utah High School Athletic, association met yesterday afternoon and cleared up several sev-eral puzzling situations. The redisricting redisrict-ing of the Northern and Salt Lake divisions di-visions was completed. It was decided that President James E. Muss act as arbitrator in deadlocks between divisions. A board of three members will be elected between divisions divi-sions to settle their eligibility questions and to take up other matters. In the case of a deadlock, the president will cast tho deciding vote. The Northern division puzzle arose over the proposed switching of Davis County high to Salt Lake and of merging merg-ing Ogdt n and WebT acHdcniv with the upper half nf the Northern division. The hoard voted to have the divisions arranged ar-ranged as last year, namely: North Cache, South Cache. U., Granite and .Jordan high schools and all voiced their opinion that the move, was a good one and one which will promote pro-mote harmonv in the league. Inasmuch as the Salt Lake division has been rearranged the coaches are asked to meet this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Hotel T'tah to draft new schedules. In the Northern division Representative J. W. Peters will call the schedule meeting. Prior to the board of control meeting the principals of the Salt Lake division divi-sion met and elected Osmon Justesen of Grantsville, member to the board. T. W. Benuion of the Sanpete-Sevier division and Jack Christensen of Southern South-ern division, were not present. |
