Show GOVERNOR IS TO BE GUEST AT BANQUET Weber County Farm Bureau to Entertain Enter-tain Distinguished Visitors at Plain City January 27. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Jan. 13. Governor Simon Bamberger, county farm agents from all parts of the state and other visitors will be guests of the Weber county farm .bureau at a banquet in Plain Citv on the closing day of he farmers' roundup and housekeepers' conference, January 32 to 27, inclusive, according to a decision reached by directors of the bureau at a meeting today. The banquet will be one of the principal entertainment en-tertainment features planned for the roundup week. When it was suggested at the meeting meet-ing that the local bureau should entertain enter-tain the visitors at a banquet the directors di-rectors from several country districts vied for the honor of providing the affair. af-fair. Owing to better electric line facilities facil-ities to Plain City the honor was given to James L. Robson, director from that district. As suggested todav, the banquet ban-quet will be given between the afternoon after-noon and evening sessions of the roundup round-up on Saturday, Jauuary 27. A special car will be provided for the trip and it is anticipated that more than 100 persons will be present. In further preparation for the roundup, round-up, which is one week of the annual Logan meeting transferred to this city, the transportation committee was in-I in-I structed to obtain, if possible, regular train service over the Denver &' Rio Grande branch line to Hooper for the week. AH steam roads and electric lines will be asked to offer reduced rates for the week. |
