Show BINGHAM MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED Harry Brewer to Be Extradited from Memphis for Trial Here. I - J Sheriff John S. Corless will leave for Memphis, Tenn., today with requisition papers for Harry Brewer, alias Arthur Perverse, who is under arrest there and who is wanted here in connection with the murder of Eugene Allen. Allen was killed by robbers in the Highland Boy store in "Bingham canyon, April lo, 1914. ank TJePretto, now under death sentence sen-tence for the crime, was convicted last November. The death sentence has been stayed pending an appeal to the supreme su-preme court. DePretro was arrested in Butte short-l short-l lv after the murder of Allen. He maintained main-tained that, while he was concerned in the robbery, it was Brewer who fired the fatal shot. A search was instituted for the missing Brewer, and a few days ago Sheriff Corless received informa-' informa-' tion from the chief of police of Mem-; Mem-; phis, saying that a man of Brewer's j description had been arrested there on a grand larceny charge. Photographs of Brewer were sent to Memphis and 1he local sheriff received a telegram yesterday afternoon advising him that the identification was complete, but ! that the prisoner would not return without extradition papers. These were signed by the governor late yesterday. |
