Show LIFE UNDERWRITERS MEET AT LUNCHEON Prominent Speakers Are Heard on Subjects Sub-jects of Vital Interest to In- surance Men. The Deseret Association of Life Underwriters Un-derwriters held its regular semi-monthly meeting at the Commercial club at 12:30 yesterday afternoon. LuncheoD was served in the gold room, ninety-two ninety-two members of the association being present. A. V. Huntingdon, president of the association, presided, introducing the differeut speakers. G. W. lit-l?er, agency director of the Continental Life Insurance company, addressed those present on matters pertaining to contemplated con-templated legislation, suggesting that a bill be trained and presented to" the legislature leg-islature tor col id deration requiring all applicants for position as agents for insurance in-surance companies to pass an examination examina-tion as to their qualifications for the position po-sition applied for. O. . Ewing, agent for the Xew York Life Insurance company, aurl Tin-fus Tin-fus K. Lardy, supervisor of the Western West-ern .States Life for the intermountain country, followed along the same lines. J. D. Spencer, chairman of the entertainment enter-tainment committee, "voiced his approval appro-val of the plan. Charles M.
