The offer has been received toy Director Joseph Ballantyne through 1 Fred C. Graham of Salt Lake City, who; recently received notice of the offer t from Miss Alma Voediseh, under whose management Miss Claussen recently! appeared in this city. : Upon her return to Chicago, accord-1 ing to Miss Voediseh, the noted singer j sooko of the Ogden choir as one of , the best choruses she had ever heard and said she would appreciate the op-' portanitv of making the Pacific coast tri-i with the organization. Director j Ballantvne caunot announce a definite decision in the matter as yet because of tho fact that the question of soloists solo-ists for tho trip has not been fully determined. Miss Claussen at present is substituting substi-tuting in a number of New York recitals re-citals for Madame Schumann-Heink, who is .now on the Pacific coast because of poor health. |
