TENTH SOUTH CANAL IS TO BE CLEARED The street department put about fifty men to work yesterday cleaning out the Tenth S.outh canal In preparation for the flood waters that come down in tho spring. This canal was widened and deepened at a cont of $5000 last year, but so much sediment has been washed into It as a result of 6trcet Improvements- on State slreot that another dredging was found necessary. As soon as the Tenth South canal has been put into condition for tho high water period, the men will be transferred to the Ninth South canal. TheBo two waterways afford drainage to a largo part of the city during flood time.
