WOMAN 1ST FACE TRIAL JI MURDER Marie Arthur Is Removed From County Hospital to County Jail. Mario Arthur was taken from the county coun-ty hospital to tho county Jail yesterday, just one month and throo daj'3 after she mado a. futile attempt to end her own life, after shooting to death Frank Jones in a room of tho Touralne "hotel on East Third South street. She must face trial for murder. The wound which tho young woman Inflicted In-flicted upon herself, after killing Joncg, wns of so serious a nature that It was not believed sho could possibly llvo, Sho was taken to tho emergency hospital at police headquarters and afterward to St. Mark's hospital. An operation of four hours' duration was performed by Dr. 1-Inrdlc Lynch. Though tho path of tho bullet was traced through stomach, llvor and Intestines, It was never found. Tho punctures of tho various organs were what occupied the attention of the surgeon. sur-geon. Though the wound In tho llvor was slight, the bleeding from it was so great that Utile hone of recovery was held after tho operation was completed. Tho patient, however, began to mend Immediately. A week ago sho had recovered re-covered lo such an extent that sho was removed to the County hospital. In the meantime, mean-time, a complaint charging her with murder mur-der had boon Issued by the county attorney, at-torney, and sho was taken lo tho county Jail, Shortly after the killing of Jones, the Arthur woman said that tho act was prompted by Jealousy. At the time of tho operation, an hour after she had attempted attempt-ed her own life, she said that she wanted to live and requested tho operating surgeon sur-geon to do all he could to savo her. As a result, she Is now In comparatively perfect per-fect health, though she still carries in her body the bullet which she had Intended should pierce her heart.
