Show FiSH DISI1UTI0N FOB IBEEDYPERSONS Twelve Tons From Utah Lake to Be Given Out Early This Morning. This morning at S o'clock the car of fish from Utah lake, which arrived in the city last night, will bo opened by representatives of tho state fish aud game department, and every needj' person per-son applying will be given from ten to fifteen pounds. The ear is on the siding sid-ing of ifaucot'k Bros. The car contains about twolvo tons of carp, suckers, chub and catfish. Of the latter variety there aro only a few, however, most of the fish being carp. All are declared to bo in excellent condition, con-dition, having just been taken from tho cold waier ot the lake. Fred W. Chambers, titato fish and game commissioner, says that the free distribution will probably last onl' three or four hours, as hundreds oV families will undoubtedly apply for the fish. Those coining arc requested to bring a basket;, sack or other article in which to carry away tho fish, as there will sbc no way of wrapping them. In the event that, children are sent, their parents are asked to send a note making mak-ing a request for the fish. The distribution will be made of more than local interest by being sent, broadcast in motion pictures by ono of the companies making weekly news photographs. A representative of one company told Mr. Chambers yesterday that he womd be on hand with his camera when the car is opened. |
