Show WELL KNOWN IN OGDEN. Man Charged With Wife-Murder at Denver Den-ver Formerly Resided In Junction City, Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, June 12.---Gus William Marshall, a gambler, now In the Denver City Jail charged with the murder of his wife. Lucy Gath Marshall, last Friday Fri-day afternoon, Is well known among tho sporting fraternity of Ogden where he lived until recently. When the gambling law of Utah recently went into effect Marshall went to Denver after fruitless attempt; to get his wife to return to him there. This was three weeks ago. According to the telegraphic reports from Denver his wife's affections had been alienated by Gc-orge Chutes, with whom she had been Jointly conducting a restaurant at 52tl Eighteenth street, Denver. Den-ver. Colo. Acquaintances of Marshall at Ogden sav that ho was quiet and unassuming, unas-suming, and that at times he appeared to be moody and despondent. Marshall came here from Nevada, following the closing up of all gambling resorts In that state. His wife and Chutes first met In Reno, Nov., last summer at the time of tho Jeffries-Johnson fight. At that time Chutes was a member of the divorce colony. Four weeks ago she joined Chutes at Denver when the restaurant was opened.
