Show TROOPS ON BORDER ARE COMING- NORTH GALVESTON, Tex., June I-' With the exception of the three transports. McClellan, Sumner and Kllpatrlck. the last ol the navy's fighting force which has been anchored in the harbor steamed away tonight. The cruiser Salem weighed anchor at 7 o'clock for Boston. The Salem's sister ship, the Taeoma. left on June S, and the three battleships of tho North Atlantic fleet, tho Mississippi, Vermont and Minnesota, left at 6 o'clock this morning for Pcnsacola. The four thousand troops stationed at the Camp Crocket maneuver grounds are preparing to return to their regular posts. The First and Third regiments will go aboard transports probably Thursday. Thurs-day. The Sumner will return for the Second regiment. |
