H Murray's State leaguers will meet the IH Occidentals on Walker's field at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon. The smelter city lads earned this right Saturday after- noon when' they defeated Margetts s H State leaguers, 5 to 4, in a nerve-rack- ing contest. IH Southpaws Heusser and Annls were the opposing mound artists and Heusser JM had the better of the argument. He rM struck out ten Salt Lakers and allowed (jB only six hits, while the smelter boys tM garnered fourteen blnglcs oft Annls, who IjH struck out only four. With the score 4 to 2 in favor of Mur- JM ray and with two men out, Heusser let WM down in the eighth and allowed Salt flH Lake to tie the score. After Annls and Harris had gone out. the first from JM Heusser to Kaefer and the second from fH Castro to Kaefer, Heusser loafed a lit- tie and while he was taking things easy TM Walsh, with two strikes on him, poled out a single and stole second. Passes Big Hicks. In trying to apply tho brakes HeuBser momentarily lost control and gave Hicks free transportation to first. 'Fortler JH threw a little wild to Kaefer to catch S Hicks, who was taking a, big lead off first, and Hicks and Walsh were ad- H vanced a bane each. Clark sent out a screaming single that scored both men. ilH Herwlg retired the side, flying to iScott.
