Interference on the part oT the United States in the Mexican revolution --to either put down the Insurrcctos or aid President Porflrlo Diaz of tho southern republic was this week severely condemned at a mass meeting of citizens held In this city, on the grounds that action of this kind will strike at tho fundamental principle of American Independence. The citizens met In one of the central parks of the city, and such men of prominence as cx-Mnvor Joseph T. Pence. ex-City Attorney At-torney Frank R. Klnyon. Judge. IC. I. Porky. cx-Mayor and former Democratic Democra-tic candidate for governor M. Alexander. Secretary to the Governor Fred Flood, ministers of the gospel and others spoke. It was directly charged that tho "Interests'' "In-terests'' and Wall street were seeking Intervention on the part of tho United States In the Mexican rovolutlon In order or-der to secure protection of their valuable val-uable holdings.
