Show MEASLES SITUATION IS MOW WELL UNDER CONTROL The measles situation is now well in hand, according to the report of the city! board of health for the week ending April 21. Of 00 cases of contagious and Infectious diseases there were f!G enses of meaales. This is much lower than for a number of weeks pasl. The report allows that tho city generally Is in an unuoually good condition insofar as the health matters are concerned. During the week there were seven eases of scarlet fever reported, five cases of diphtheria, three cases of lyphoid fever, live rases of mumps, three eases of whooping cough and one case of pneumonia. pneu-monia. Two houses now are under quarantlno for smallpox, seventeen houses for scarlet scar-let fever, eight houses for diphtheria and five cases of smallpox remain at the isolation iso-lation hospital. During tho week there were reported SR births, of which 27 were mnlcK and 21 females. Sixteen denths were reported, report-ed, of which 12 wero mnles and 1 females. |
