Show WATERWORKS FOR EPHRAIM A FEASIBLE PROPOSITION Special to The Tribune. EPHRAIM, July 29. Prospects for tho construction of a municipal waterworks system in Ephralm has become much brighter during the past ten days, and there Is now but little doubt that tho work of Installation will begin In tho Immediate Im-mediate future R. E. Caldwell, the well known engineer of Salt Lake City, has been on the grounds with a force of men, and after llniahlng tho survey for the proposed system returned to Salt Lake during the week. He Is now preparing his specifications and these will probably prob-ably be sent to the offices of the waterworks water-works company within the next few days. Mr. Caldwell's Investigation resulted not only ln proving the feasibility of 'the undertaking, but showed that tho cost will not bo as great as had been anticipated. antici-pated. After measuring the flow of water at tho spring west of the power house the engineer declared that the spring will furnish an abundant supply of water for the city and this will do away with tho necessity of Installing a costly pressure pipe line from the big springs. |
