Show LIND STILL BALKY ABOUT MAKING RAGF EVERETT. Wash., July 20. Former For-mer Governor John Lind of Minnesota. Democratic nominee for governor of that, state, refused today to discuss the nomination further than to sav that his statement to, the Associated Press last night, in which he announced that he would not accept the nomination, contains con-tains his final decision. To escape interviewers and messages from Minnesota, Minne-sota, the ex-governor went on a trip to tlio woods. Mr. Lind, his wife and daughter will sail from Seattle for southeastern Alaska Alas-ka on the steamship Humboldt Sunday morning. Thev will remain in the north two or three weeks, and on returning will spend a day in Everett and then go to California. Whether Mr. Lind will continue his pleasure trip after leaving leav-ing California has not been decided, but the ex-governor makes it clear that ho is in no hurry to return to Minnesota Minne-sota and takes small interest in the political affairs of that slate. |
