Show BOY CONFESSES STEALING AND WRECKING AUTC Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. July 29. Without any explanation ex-planation for his actions other than that he had no other means of coming to town. Roland Pearson, a. 15-year-old lad. admitted to Deputy Sheriff John Murphy this morning that he had stolen the automobile auto-mobile belonging to Dr. L. H. Crawshaw at the fair grounds last night during the Keller-Thomas boxing contest, and that after running it a short distance the machine broke down. The boy was locked up ln the county jail His case will bo hnndlcd by tho juvenllo court. After steering the auto from the fair groundF the boy ran into a ditch. Another An-other automobile happened to pass along and the chauffeur assisted the lad In getting get-ting the mnchine started. Later, he ran Into a hydrant and tore off a tiro, leaving leav-ing the machine wrecked on Twenty-ninth Twenty-ninth .street, where It was found this morning. |
