Inasmuch as the city wan not harmed by tho delay, the board decided de-cided to impose no penalty nnd will recommend rec-ommend to the council that the company com-pany be paid $6850.2.. an settlement In full for the balance due on tho contract. An extra work order was Insued to Doyle Brothers & Schwartr. for moving walcrmains from the Fourth precinct to tho First precinct and laying them on Sixteenth and Seventeenth East streets and Roosevelt nnd Emerson nvenucs. The mains were ordered laid along tho boulevard on Eleventh avonne, but tho council decided thnt the' were needed fnr more down In tho First precinct on the streets mentioned.
