Show IMPORTANT CHANGES MADE AT ST. MARY'S Sister Frances Clare, sister superior of St. Mary's acadomy, will leave this week for South Bend, Ind.. where she will become president of St. Joseph's college, col-lege, one of the chief educational Institutions Insti-tutions at the mother home of the Sisters Sis-ters of the Holy Cross. Sister Frances Clare has been at the head of St. Mary's for six years. During her stay in Salt L.nkc she has become beloved of all who knew her. and that total Is exceedingly large. Sho hns proved herself a highly capable director of Instruction, and by hor sweet personality won for herself tho affections of pupils and parents alike. While the departure of Sister Frances Clnro will -be keenly regretted in Salt Lake, the transfer Is regarded here as the conferring upon Sister Frances Clare of a distinguished honor. Sister Frances Clare will bo' succeeded as sister superior at St. Mary's academy acad-emy by Sister Mary Alexis. Sister Mary Alexis was Btatloned In Salt Lake for a period of fifteen years. She loft here about twelve years ago. Sho will be remembered re-membered by many who attended St. Mary's in their school days. Another departure that will bo keenly regretted is the transfer of Sister Ala-cocjuo Ala-cocjuo to Fresno, Cal. Sister Alauociue lias been Instructor in vocal music at St. Mary's for something like thirty years, and, many of the best musicians In tho city were her pupils. |
