Schlff. excursion to Alaska, arrivod from Alaska today. The party was composed of Mr. and Mrs. Schlff, William Loeb, a partner with Mr. Schlff In the firm of Kuhn. Lioeb & Co., New York bankers; Mrs. Ioeb, A. G. Plimpton, a book publisher; pub-lisher; rrs. Plimpton, General and Mrs. James U. Wilson of Wilmington, Del.; Edgar Sal In of Frankfort, Germany nnd Captain D. II. Garvls, treasurer of tho various Guggenheim corporations in Alaskn. They Btartcd oast over tho Canadian Pacific roifd. The Ramona left Seattle July IS. The travelers inspected wtho various Guggenheim properties in tho "north, leaving- the yacht for a railroad trip to tho Yukon a"t Whlto Horse and a Yukon steamer excursion to Dawson, and again disembarking at Cordova for a journey over the Copper River railroad. When Mr. Schlff was asked to discuss financial and other affairs of tho United States, he said: "1 havo been away from New York for seven weeks, so I know nothing.
