Show STORM ON SALT LAKE HELPS TO REMOVE DEBRIS The high wind which raged Monday evening between 6:30 and 7 o'clock lashed the waters of Great Salt Lako Into a fury. Passengers on the train arriving at Saltalr at G .'50 o'clock were practically marooned for half an hour, being forced to remain In tho cars until tho storm had subsided. Bathers In the hike wero compelled com-pelled to beat a hasty retreat to the shelter shel-ter of the bath-houses. The storm succeeded in doing to somo extent what the Snltalr management has failed even to tackle to the least extent. Tho unsightly debris, consisting of broken timbers from washed-away bath-houses, augmented by refuse of all kinds, which had collected midway between the shore and the pavilion, was washed Just a little nearer shore. This debris, however, was not washed far enough, and still remains as an eyesore to attract the caustic comments com-ments of both city people and tourists. |
