Show IW STORE ROOMS mm m Formal Opening of Drug Store Monday in Remodeled (Jlift House Building. With the completion of the remodeling remodel-ing of the ClifL House corner at Third South and Main streets, arrangements have been made for the opening of three news stores, onn by the Van Dyke Drug company, another by the United Cigar Stoics company and the third by I he Sanders-Granger" lloral company. The first; of these to be opened is thai of the Yan Dyke Drug company, which will have a formal opening Monday morning. According to Charles Van Dyke, proprietor of tho store, the new stock of drugs will be moved from the temporary quarters in tho Swan building build-ing and placed in the new wall and show-cases Teady for tho opening. Tho only thing which will not bo on hand is iho new soda fountain, which is on the way to tho city and will bo put together as soon as it arrives. The fountain cost $5000 and is one of the most beautiful in any drug store west of Chicago. Included in its fixtures arc two beautiful draught, stands made of art glass, oxidized silver and onyx, each one of which cost $300. They are of a new design and the most costlj-ever costlj-ever bought for a fountain sent into tho west, according to tho manufacturers. manufac-turers. Tho storo itself will be finished in bluo and white, with red polished mahogany ma-hogany fixtures. Along tho north wall, which extends back sixfy feet from the Main street front of tho store, will be tho mahogany wall cases. These will also extend across tho rear of the store, forming the partition betwoon the Btoro propor and tho prescription rooms. Tho lighting of (he store will be b' largo electric lights suspended on chains from oxidized silver chandeliers. Emergency gas lights are also supplied, to bo used in caso of any failure of the electric lights. In tho rear of the store, in an arcade facing on Third South, will bo n women's wom-en's rest, room, comfortably fitted with leather chairs and couches and other attractions. The Main street front of tho storo will be twenty-seven feet and will ju-cludo ju-cludo two largo plate-glass windows, with show shelves of mahogany, and a large tilo entrance.
